Our Process
When we arrive on-site, safety is our top priority. We begin by conducting a thorough risk assessment, taking into consideration weather conditions, pedestrian routes, nearby driveways, and other road users. Once we’ve assessed the environment, we proceed to set up the site using SLG (signing, lighting, and guarding) to create a safe working area.
Our team then uses high-quality safety equipment, including gate guards, hi-vis clothing, and GDU (Gas Detection Unit), to safely access the telecoms duct. After removing the telecoms box lid, we start the de-silting process, which can clear up to 140 metres of duct (70 metres per side). Once the ducts are clear, we attach a blue rope to the opposite side of the cleared duct, retract the jet hose, and leave the duct ready for Openreach or the client to install new cables efficiently.
